On the Viewer - Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Season 2, Episode 14 - "The Good Wound")
 by Fëanor

Cool! Kyle Reese's speech from the original film, re-enacted. And now his voice seems to still be guiding her - although "On your feet, soldier. On your feet!" is actually something she said to him in that movie.

Damn it! I hate it when people pull hospital tubes out of themselves. And if there's somebody in a hospital in a TV show or a movie, they will inevitably do it!

It's so cool that all these lines that "Kyle" is speaking to her are verbatim from the original film. Woah, now he even helped her to her feet. This is some serious hallucinating she's doing. Aww, Kyle's even in the trenchcoat he was wearing when she met him! I think those are even the same pants and shoes. I love the attention to detail!

Well, Riley survived! Good for her. Ah, and the other Reese has turned this into a teachable moment for John. Heh.

Sarah: "We're all out of our time. We're all lost. John is all any of us have." She's having a lot of long conversations with a dead man. It's a little disturbing. Aww, now she's making some poor doctor do surgery on her at gun point. Why didn't she get Reese to come and take the bullet out?? I'm sure he could do it. Or at least, I'm sure he knows somebody who could do it that they wouldn't have to kidnap at gun point!

Sarah's telling Kyle about the events of Terminator 2. She's telling him about their son. So strange!

I knew I recognized that cop from somewhere - it's Trip from Enterprise!

Getting the bullet out is being compared to child birth, and they're even talking about John during the surgery.

They've got John Henry playing with toys now. I love how he explains the toy's whole life story. I also love his question for God: "I wish to know why he didn't use more ball and socket joints when he made you." It's also creepy that he's discovered the history of the Terminator's body he now inhabits by researching "James Ellison" on the internet.

So while Sarah's sneaking into the hospital, Riley's going to be sneaking out? Jesse's taking a bit of a risk here. If John starts asking questions about who helped Riley...

Wow. John Henry knows Catherine's secret. Plus he's picked up some kind of unsecured transmission about coltan. This is getting interesting...

Oh jeez. Because Riley disappeared they're locking down the hospital and searching room by room. That means somebody's going to find Sarah!

I love how they played with you in the warehouse scene. The dude goes into the men's room, and you're sure Catherine's going to show up and kill him there. They even linger on the urinal, making sure you remember the scene in an earlier episode when she morphed out of a urinal. Then he washes up, leaves - and she kills him outside. Hilarious! And now she's taking out everybody else. Brutal.

Also, damn it! What was that warehouse? What were they doing there? Guess we'll never know now!

These cops who are trying to find Sarah are actually pretty good at their jobs. Good thing Derek's there to burn all their evidence!

Oh, crap, what a horrorshow this has turned into. The doctor, Derek, and the cop all pointing guns at each other over Sarah's unconscious body. Luckily, it turns out the cop is the bastard the doctor's had trouble with in the past, and he gets what he deserves. That plot twist I did not expect!

Another strong episode. I really enjoy how carefully they've set this into the continuity of the whole Terminator saga, and how faithful they are to what's come before. There were some powerful character moments here, and some pretty big plot developments, too. Some day Sarah and the gang are going to catch up with Catherine somehow! Then all hell is going to break loose.
