The King's Quest games were some of the first computer games I ever played, and I loved them. I still have fond memories of trying to figure out how to use the carrot to get that goat to follow me, and forcing my Dad to get on the keyboard and type us out of danger, because he was the fastest typist. I also know a few of my readers actually lent their voice talent to the King's Quest IX project before it was closed down by Vivendi, the owners of the copyright on King's Quest.
Which is why I used the template at the Save King's Quest IX website (found via Joystiq) and sent an e-mail to Vivendi asking them to allow the game to be completed and released. And why I'm putting the word out to you folks. Go ahead and send an email of your own. It's for a great cause! |
