- My blurb and photo finally went up on the Phillyist staff page! Yay!
- Okay, I'm officially excited about King Kong again. I was crazy revved to see the trailer when it debuted on TV, but ultimately found myself underwhelmed and disappointed by it. Then I read this article on Cinematical, and watched this super-short, making-of-documentary-style Quicktime video called A Look Inside. This thing not only gave me chills, it actually made me gasp and kind of lose my breath for a second. Awww, yeah. Kong is King!!!
- Okay, the new Rocky movie, supposedly entitled simply Rocky Balboa (you know they've made too many movies when they stop putting the number in the title), is starting to sound seriously weird. Now we've got the news that Rocky IV's brutal Russian boxer, Ivan "I must break you" Drago, is going to appear in the film, but not the way you might expect - Rocky is going to visit him as he lies dying of AIDS in a hospital. Um, woah.
I don't know, I guess this movie still might work. Every Rocky since the original one has been pretty much a joke, though, so I'm not holding out much hope.
