- Let's play Good Thing, Bad Thing! I'm thinking the latter event is far more likely to destroy the world than the former, but others would probably disagree.
- The items most interesting to me in this article are the one about the Flash, and the one about Joss Whedon, Summer Glau, Kitty Pride, and X-Men 3.
The dude doing the Flash movie, David Goyer, has done some shit-crappy films, but he also wrote Batman Begins, and I really like what he's saying about what he's planning to do with the Flash here. I loved Miller's Flash in The Dark Knight Strikes Again, so I hope he's using something like that as his model.
- For some humor, which we are in dire need of (see item 1), I direct you toward the latest PA. Doing horribly violent things to your best friend is always funny! (The first time I saw that last panel, I thought the dog was holding a gun, which would have made this comic even funnier in my opinion, but the reality is still humorous enough to merit a link.)
- Btw, anybody else who wishes to avoid the frenzy of Live 8 on Saturday, or who simply wishes to see War of the Worlds, could join me and ST in New Jersey on a trip to see said film. If you want to know what time...well, I was leaning towards the 11 AM showing, but we don't seem to have settled on that yet. Comment or e-mail and we'll work on it.
