Dave sent this link to a game con website. It's a terribly designed page (really, people--hire a web designer or something!), but the con might be cool, and it's really nearby. If you scroll about halfway down (UPDATE: When I was talking about the scrolling here, I was actually referring to the schedule of events page; sorry folks), you actually get to some games that aren't RPGs or LARPs. Sorry, I love the idea of RPGs (elves and barbarians are great and all that) I just don't think I have enough imagination to actually play them. Or something. I can't get into character. It feels silly.
So anyway. Yeah.
Thought I might see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow today ("tomorrow today," hee hee), but it didn't come together for me. I want to see it soon, though. Actually, there's still a couple of movies leftover in the theaters that I haven't gotten around to seeing--the Exorcist prequel (even though I know it will suck), and Michael Mann's latest manly film about men doing manly violence to each other--Collateral. Then there's I, Robot and Shaun of the Dead and Suspect Zero...
Damn it! I just can't keep up!
Ah, well. If I just wait long enough, they'll pop up on DVD, and arrive in my mailbox. Thank God for Netflix. |
