Yesterday...
 by Fëanor

...was mighty busy! Ended up walking back and forth across half the city picking up things (like my film festival film access badge - squee!!) and meeting with people and having dinner and going to movie night. Oh, the chafing! Still, probably good for my health.

What was probably not good for my health was when, the other night, pretty late, I suddenly decided that the time had come, right that very instant, to get the ground beef out of the freezer that had been in there for months, thaw it out, and make myself some Hamburger Helper. Yesterday I had the leftovers for lunch, which essentially consisted of a bucket of meat (well, and noodles and sauce, but mostly meat). I enjoyed the symmetry of then going to a vegetarian Chinese restaurant for dinner (the fantastic New Harmony - highly recommended - don't know why I don't go there more often, as it's right down the street from the office) and gorging on all kinds of non-meat products. What was the occasion? The pinkhaired girl is in town, of course! It was great to see her again, eat her tasty vegan cupcakes, and hang out with her at movie night. Yay!

Also, Peccable let me borrow his copy of the first volume of Death Note, a little manga I've heard quite a bit about. Damn him! I started it last night, and I'm already totally hooked.
