1. I finished, at long last, Crisis on Infinite Earths. Thank God! Now, I'll admit, the ending actually choked me up a bit in parts. If there's one thing Marv Wolfman can do well, it's extreme melodrama, and sometimes melodrama can sucker punch me and get a reaction. I still maintain that the thing is overall a poorly written piece of junk, though, with serious plotting and editing issues. All the same, I'm glad I've read it and have a better idea about all the crazy junk that went down there. Of course, a lot of the deaths in it don't really mean all that much, as they later managed to bring back most of the characters they killed off anyway. I'm not sure how we got Supergirl back, or where another Green Arrow came from, but whatever.

2. I played more Wii! Oh, how I love my Wii. Red Steel continues to be rather fun, but is probably my least favorite of the three games I own for the system. Although the unique control system keeps things interesting, I have re-discovered my dislike of first person shooters. There's something about them that always leaves me at least slightly disturbed and unhappy. I think it's wandering through hallways in first person perspective, fearing at any moment that a group of men will jump out of nowhere and shoot me until I'm dead. That probably has something to do with it, anyway.

But Zelda is just absolutely fantastic, and I'm actually really enjoying Wii Sports even as a one player game. Twilight Princess is just a classic Zelda experience, with ingenious puzzles, none of which are so difficult as to make it frustrating, but all of which are difficult enough as to make you feel quite clever for figuring them out. All the classic items are here, too, but way better. The boomerang, for instance, is bloody brilliant now (sorry, watched too many Harry Potter movie reruns this weekend). Love it!

As for Wii Sports, I'm happy to report that after a small setback, I have achieved a Wii Fitness Age of 30! I'm also getting better at bowling (getting more strikes, picking up more spares), golf (beat intermediate and expert courses at only one or two over par), and tennis (figuring out the timing needed to hit the ball in the correct direction).

3. Poor poppy is still having much trouble sleeping. I was going to go a-googling this morning, but does anybody know of any sure-fire sleep aids that don't require a prescription or sheep?
