On the Viewer - Dollhouse (Season 2, Episode 6 - "The Left Hand")
 by Fëanor

SPOILER ALERT!

I reiterate: Glau's character is incredibly creepy.

The scene where Cindy explains to Perrin who he really is is pretty devastating. What if everything that was good about you was a lie? What if you were full of righteous indignation toward someone only because they built you to feel that way?

Perrin: "Why are you telling me all this now?"
Cindy: "Um, because it's funny?"

Topher in the limo: hilarious. I love how he gets dressed up by putting on a ridiculously ugly plaid suit coat.

Bennett is giving Echo the memory of what she did to her. It's Echo who hurt her arm. Hmm...

Ray Wise is the head of the D.C. Dollhouse! Cool.

Oh, this is truly awesome. They loaded Victor up with Topher's brain so he could take care of things back home while Topher was out with Adelle. So excellent. Langton: "You just run the house and wait for... yourself to call."

Does Bennett have a crush on Topher? Do they have crushes on each other? Oh man, she's like an evil, female version of him. Ugh, they're so awkward together! It's like watching two giant maelstroms of social ineptitude smash into one another.

Damn. Adelle is hardcore. Pretty bold, threatening to murder a dude right in his office, in the middle of his HQ.

I seriously love Victor-Topher, and I love even more Victor-Topher and Topher talking with each other.

Victor: "Glasses?"
Topher: "Glasses on a chain!"
Victor: "For the win!"

Topher: "Imagine John Cassavetes in The Fury as a hot chick."
Victor: "Which you know I often have!"

Wow. That scene with Bennett totally blew my mind. At some point in the past, Caroline left her crushed under something. Now she's letting Caroline and Perrin escape, with her memories and her own army injury still built into Caroline's head. And clonking herself to make it look like Echo did it. This is not part of Rossum's plan; this is a separate plan of Bennett's own. So crazy!

Heh heh. I love how Echo's imprint, made by Topher, looks so lame up next to Perrin's imprint, made by Bennett.

I do believe Bennett just renamed an assassin trigger "puppies" and added it to Perrin's profile. Hoo boy.

Echo: "Then we can be who we are."
Perrin: "We can be who we decide to be."

Topher: "This isn't about Caroline, this is about Echo."
Bennett: "They're the same!"
Are they? I guess that's the big question, isn't it?

It was probably not smart for Perrin to go back to his own house. Kind of a little obvious.

I thought for a second there Perrin was really going to drop the bomb on Rossum at the hearing. But clearly they got to him first. They're using him to destroy their rivals, and to discredit the idea of the Dollhouse. It's not clear exactly how Rossum managed to get Perrin but not Echo. Hmm...

Poor Madeleine. Trapped in the hands of Bennett. Meanwhile, Ballard and Echo are AWOL. And it looks like Rossum is grooming Perrin to be President!

Another insane episode! So much is happening all at once. It's pretty damn exciting. I really like how they've opened things up and let us see more Dollhouses, and more of Rossum's larger plot. I love how creepy Bennett is, and that she has this personal grudge against Caroline. And I love the comedy stylings of Topher & Topher. I was really sad to see Victor get wiped at the end there.

Figures that Dollhouse would get really good as it's heading toward its swan song.
