On the Viewer - Dollhouse (Season 2, Episode 5 - "The Public Eye")
 by Fëanor

(NOTE: As usual, this is loaded with spoilers. Beware!)

Ew. The Senator and his wife are kind of gross together. "I'm your white knight?" Gag me with a spoon.

I had a feeling from the "previously on Dollhouse" clips that November/Mellie/Madeleine was going to be the Senator's witness, but still... damn.

Interesting. Perrin's wife is a doll! Now I'm okay with her being all disgusting with him earlier.

Oh crap! They're showing Ballard the tape of Mellie killing that dude!

Ballard: "This is the same tech that turned Echo into a serial killer."
Topher: "We said we wouldn't dwell on that. He's dwelling."

Topher demonstrates the disruptor, and a Doll goes tumbling down the stairs outside. Ha!

OH SHIT. Perrin's wife's not the Doll after all - Perrin is!! That is awesome. In fact, Perrin is a Doll version of himself. The real Perrin was the latest member of a political dynasty, but he wasn't ambitious enough, and he wasn't good politician material - so he was altered until he was. Pretty brilliant.

Oh wow. The little love talk that Perrin and his wife keep repeating is really the handler code phrase that's meant to ensure his trust in her. That's so messed up.

Bad move, Cindy. You just activated super-bad-ass Echo.
Echo: "You just woke up a lot of people. And they all think you're a bitch." Ha!

Perrin: "You want to take me to them? They're all bad guys, Brie."
Echo: "I think her bad guys are badder than my bad guys."
It really is just levels of bad guyness at this point, isn't it?

Madeleine: "You said you freed me. When someone's free, they get to make mistakes. Am I free?"

Harding and the upper-ups at Rossum are going to use Perrin to eliminate an upstart, malfunctioning Dollhouse, and in the process gain the political capital they need to do anything they want. Pretty clever.

Hey, it's Summer Glau! Apparently she heads another Dollhouse. An evil Dollhouse. Well, an eviler Dollhouse. She's super creepy. Also, what's the deal with her bad arm?

Looks like this Dollhouse names all its actives after Greek gods.

Not only is Bennett (Glau) in a position of authority at the Dollhouse, she also seems to be Topher's opposite.

Damn. That was some ending. Bennett: "Caroline. You always promised you'd come back to me. Let's play." And then she tortures her.

That was one crazy episode! Tons of big reveals, and plenty more secrets introduced that have yet to be deciphered. A piece of Rossum's larger agenda is revealed! A war erupts between Dollhouses! Caroline's mysterious past involves someone at yet another Dollhouse! Glau's character is introduced, and she's incredibly twisted and disturbing!

Great stuff. Time to watch the next episode!
