So I watch too much TV. Entirely too much TV. A woman I work with told me that it takes less brain cells to watch TV than it does to sleep. I believe her. I would blame it on stress, but really there's never been a time in my (or anyone else's) life that has not been rife with stres, so let's just say I'm a big fat lazy ass and leave it at that. One thing on heavy rotation lately has been Clean Sweep. In honor of our impending move, I decided to attack several boxes of files I've been hoarding. I kept way less than a tenth of it. This may be impressive if you're not aware that I have an awful lot of shit.
When feanor got home I made him drag the stuff to the curb (poor kid), sent him out for a snack... and started in on another box I had forgotten about, generating many more things to go to the curb. I got him in on the act, after convincing him that he did not need to keep check registers from five years ago. It truly is freeing. I've also managed to get rid of our table and chairs (some love birds are shacking up down the street, cute kids that they are). The futon frame is still up for grabs, though I think that will be a hard sell as there is no mattress to go with it. I smell a yard sale.
In funny news, here we had been thinking our lease was up the end of July. Nope. Turns out it is the end of June. Perfect really, except we didn't give her two months notice, so hopefully no brawling will ensue. It's weird though since the date says June 30th, but the text says "one year and 15 days" which would actually put the date as August 30th. So what the hell does that mean?
Oh, and anybody like hair clips? I went through a clippy faze a few years back when I was growing out my Sinead, and have a bunch that I've never even worn. There are two yellow-green ones, two brown sparkly ones, several tiny silver sparkle ones, and some tiny pearly black ones. There are some boring ones too if, you know, you're feeling boring one day. Let me know oh short haired peoples. |
