The Setup
 by Fëanor

Fëanor's weekly comic book wish list.

Well, I think this may be the first time that I didn't get around to actually finishing The Setup until after I'd gone to the store and picked up my comic books for the week, but I haven't actually read any of them yet, so... let's just try to pretend that didn't happen, eh?

Back issues and old data
Astonishing X-Men Volume 3: Torn
Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham #3
Black Summer #0 or Black Summer Alpha
Fell: Feral City Volume One
The Goon Volume 3: Heaps of Ruination
Heavy Liquid
Mouse Guard: Winter 1152 #1
Mouse Guard: Winter 1152 #2
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind Volume 3
Star Wars: Dark Times Volume 1 - Path to Nowhere
Wisdom #1
ZombieWorld Volume Two: Winter's Dregs and Other Stories
The usual suspects.

Apparat Volume 1
Desolation Jones
Red/Tokyo Storm Warning
Reload
Strange Killings
Strange Kiss
Stranger Kisses
Damn Amazon. I was just trying to add one book by Warren Ellis to my wish list, and it kept recommending all these other books by Warren Ellis that sounded really cool, and all of the sudden... well, you see. Anyway, I discovered that the character of Bill Gravel was actually not introduced in the new series Gravel, but had already appeared in three previous series (the ones with "Strange" in the titles), so I knew I had to get them. And then all that other stuff just happened.

New releases
Action Comics #861
Woo hoo! More dystopic fun with Superman and the Legion of Super Heroes!

Badger Saves the Day World #2
Looking forward to more extreme violence and insane comedy in the second issue of this title.

Batman #673
IIRC, this issue should be a surreal trip into Batman's mind and memories. Which is something I've actually seen before in comics. But Morrison will probably be able to do some interesting new things with the premise.

Black Summer #5
A new Warren Ellis comic is always a reason to celebrate. Especially when it involves superhumans doing superviolence.

Captain America #34
The new Captain America is finally introduced in this issue. Exciting stuff! Maybe I should buy an extra one, just for posterity...

The Fantastic Four #553
Time to get to know the grizzled FF of the apparently dystopic future.

Green Lantern #27
Looks like this issue we'll see the repercussions of the violent act a Lantern performed in the previous issue. They really seem to have some serious long-term stories in mind with this title, and it's interesting to see them play out. Maybe we'll also get to see some new lanterns and/or rings introduced, too...

Jack of Fables #19
I'm looking for mysteries to be solved and secrets to be revealed in this issue. And also more zombies.

Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four #32
I've been hearing great things about the Marvel Adventures line (which features lighter, more comical versions of the typical Marvel heroes), and I saw some scans that looked fun, so I thought I'd give this title a shot.

Narcopolis #1
A new book from Avatar by the guy who created Hellblazer about... a city of the dead... or something? I don't even remember. I skimmed the description and it sounded like it might be cool, so I thought I'd give it a try. And Avatar usually puts out good stuff.

Star Wars: Dark Times #8
We'll see if this Star Wars book can keep me interested enough to keep collecting it.
