The Setup
 by Fëanor

Back issues and old data
Hellboy Volume 5: Conqueror Worm
Hellboy Volume 6: Strange Places
Runaways Volume 4
Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham #1-3
Crécy
Planetary Volume 2: The Fourth Man
The Authority Volume One: Relentless
The usual suspects that I'm still looking for.

X-Men: First Class #1-3
X-Men: First Class is a book I didn't plan on going anywhere near. I usually try to avoid the retread books like this one. But I saw some pages of #3 on scans_daily and they were really clever and funny, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Blue Beetle #13
I actually tried the new Blue Beetle book for one issue way back and wasn't impressed by it, so I decided not to collect. But again, saw some pages of this one on scans_daily and they were very clever and funny, so thought I might as well give it another try.

Heavy Liquid
Paul Pope is one of my comics Gods. It's about time I picked up another book by him, and this is it.

New releases
The New Fantastic Four #549
I was a bit disappointed with the last issue of this, but hopefully things will pick up here. Anyway, there's sure to be violence!

Hellboy: Darkness Calls #5
HELLBOY! Holy crap, I love Hellboy. When I saw this was coming out this week, I threw both my arms into the air in joy. Hellboy may be my favorite comic book character of all time, and Darkness Calls has been a great story so far. Can't wait to see what happens next!

The Last Fantastic Four Story #1
Well, this one I obviously can't resist. It's Stan "The Man" Lee himself writing, and the great John Romita Jr. drawing, a special miniseries that claims to tell the final story of the team that Lee co-created.

World War Hulk: X-Men #3
The third and (thankfully) final issue in this three-part WWH series which could also have been called The Hulk Smashes Every Mutant Evar!1! I'm being a little hard on it, though; I did in fact enjoy #1 and #2 quite a bit. But by the end of #2 I was really getting tired of the repetitiveness of it: some mutants show up, the Hulk beats the crap out of them. Some more mutants show up, the Hulk beats the crap out of them. Guess what happens next? More mutants show up! And the Hulk beats the crap out of them! Hopefully #3 will take things in a new and interesting direction.

Avengers: The Initiative #5
This week's other WWH tie-in issue. Sounds like the Hulk will have to take on a secret black ops Initiative team. Good stuff!
