I don't think the BTTF thing is a plot hole, necessarily. Einstein is a dog, and so can only ride the Delorean in the preset direction. He can't travel to one minute in the future and then turn around and drive back. But of course Doc Brown & co. can do exactly that: presumably the 2015 that they travel to is one where Marty and Jennifer already went to the future but returned without incident.

Yeah, but how did they end up in that future rather than some other future? I don't remember the movies ever dealing with the idea of there being different universes or different timelines. You can change the one timeline, but once you've changed it, the other ones go away. That was the way I understood it, anyway.

bloginator thinks that in Spiderman, Raimi has found the perfect vehicle for his particular brand of cheese (wendsleydale?). not that i think the Spiderman movies are good film--but they are certainly SUCCESSFUL film. and is that not, after all, what man has dreamt of since he first looked at the stars?!

interesting idea of the filmmaker who stretches himself too thin by trying to create a satire for the more attentive viewers, and a compelling action film for the less attentive. are there any other filmmakers who have attempted such double-dealing??

And I'm not sure anybody working on the film actually knew it was a satire. Maybe just a few key personnel...
