]]> Monday, January 4, 2010 02:11 PM Oldboy. It had a great opening and a few other very good scenes, but it was way too long and melodramatic and I didn't care for the ending. Memories of Murder is a much better film.

But The Name of the Wind is ludicrously overrated; the writer spends the first three quarters of the book making a bunch of promises and the last quarter proving himself unable to keep them. I'm really baffled by people who like it.
